A drone in flight may still be a novelty for some. Looking at the investments being made by major logistics and technology companies, retailers, and delivery services, indicates that the relatively small scope of commercial and recreational drone usage is about to significantly expand.
Just when you think you have seen everything, we may have dozens of companies delivering goods of different weights, sizes and shapes via fixed wing, rotary wing, and hybrid drones, some flying less than 15 miles to delivery and some flying more, for a multitude of industries including retail and e-commerce, logistics, restaurant and food supply, medical, and agriculture. Drones may go from novelty to a frequent part of everyday life.
